While 2015 was certainly a landmark year for Hyundai, we have a feeling that 2016 will surpass it. That's saying a lot, especially with a new Sonata and Tucson debuting this year, but with the coming of the Genesis luxury brand and the all-new Ioniq hybrid, there's certainly a lot of fun in store.
If the name "Ioniq" sounds familiar, you'd be right. It shares a name with a concept that Hyundai debuted in 2012 at the Geneva Motor Show. Now, it's coming to production in the form of a sporty electric vehicle. According to Hyundai, it will be offered not only in hybrid guise, but as a PHEV, and EV as well.
